Building Access
All public areas of the library are handicapped accessible, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act: handicapped parking in the Elm Street driveway, ground-level entry, automated door openers, an elevator to all floors, and wheelchair accessible restrooms.

Web Standards Compliance
We strive to validate all pages on the site as XHTML 1.0 Transitional, and to comply with W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
- Text navigation links for users with non-graphical browsers.
- Cascading stylesheets are used for layout. Page content flows properly in browsers that do not support stylesheets.
- Font sizing is compatible with user-selected "text size" menu options in graphical browsers.
- Graphics have descriptive
altandtitleattributes for use by screen reading software. - Color scheme not essential to conveying content, i.e. all pages are legible with colors turned off.
Text Sizing
The text size at lbgoodall.org is automatically based on your default browser text settings, but is resizable to fit your viewing preferences. If you find the text too small or too large, you can easily change the text size using your browser resizing function at any time.
The easiest way to change the text size is to use the shortcut keyboard commands of Ctrl+ or Ctrl- (Command+ or Command- on the Macintosh) to increase or decrease the text size.
Changing the text size in your browser:
Microsoft Internet Explorer
- From the Menu options along the top of your browser window, click "View"
- In the menu that drops down click "Text Size"
- Another menu will branch off to the right. Then select the size that is right for you.
Netscape Navigator(Version 7.0 or Higher), Mozilla, and Firefox
- From the Menu options along the top of your browser window, click "View".
- In the menu that drops down click "Text Size"
- Another menu will branch off to the right. Use the options to increase or decrease the text size.
Safari
- Click on the "View" menu with the mouse.
- Click on "Make Text Bigger" or "Make Text Smaller" to change the font size.
